Grenswezen #03 (Border Being #03) is part of a series that has been developed during a residency in the Bierumerschool in Bierum (NL). Starting point for that period of exploration was the sea dike as a being, body and boundary in a former salt marsh landscape. The complete series of work consists of an animation (#01), a binaural sound piece and a video of morphing pictures (#02) and a showcase with (supposedly) organic remnants of border beings from Norse mythology and an audio walk (#03). The walk runs along the village boundary, the audio is composed of recordings made on the inside of the dike, on the outside of the dike, in the mudflats of the Eems-Dollard estuary, of a marine communication channel and of music played in the local church by the artist.
